Valerie Fisher
CSW, Therapist
Valerie is a Clinical Social Worker who works with children, teens, young adults, and adults with a special interest in supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and her Master of Social Work from the University of Utah. Her experience includes working in pediatric medical settings, residential treatment with teens, and outpatient private practice.
Valerie is passionate about helping teens and young adults navigate anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity exploration, relationships, and life transitions. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community herself, she understands the importance of having a space where individuals feel safe, accepted, and free to explore who they are. She is especially passionate about supporting queer and gender-diverse individuals as they build confidence, develop self-acceptance, and navigate life's challenges.
Her approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in building genuine connections with her clients. Valerie strives to create an affirming, judgment-free environment where clients feel truly heard, understood, and comfortable being themselves. She meets clients where they are and works alongside them to develop insight, resilience, and practical coping skills. She also enjoys incorporating play therapy when working with younger children, helping them express emotions and build confidence through play.
Outside of work, Valerie enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, and snuggling her cat.
Annie Deming is Valerie’s clinical supervisor.
