Maria Vachlon
CSW
Maria (she/her) works with adults and teens navigating OCD, trauma, grief, and anxiety to feel more at ease in their minds and bodies, move through what’s been holding them back, and reconnect with a sense of direction and possibility.
Her approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed, creating a space where clients can safely explore what feels overwhelming while building new ways of moving forward. She draws on Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, along with EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS), to support both symptom relief and deeper, lasting healing.
Maria is especially passionate about helping people untangle the effects of trauma, move through grief, and find relief from the cycles that keep them feeling stuck. Whether you’re dealing with intrusive thoughts, carrying painful memories, or navigating loss and change, she meets clients with compassion, curiosity, and a clear, practical path forward.
Outside of therapy, Maria enjoys climbing, knitting, and spending time with her cat. She is a member of the American Alpine Club’s Climbing Grief Fund, which supports healing within the climbing community.
Rebecca Cohen, LCSW is Maria’s clinical supervisor.
