Krystyn Stargel

Therapist Intern

Krystyn (she/her) is currently a Master of Social Work student at Arizona State University. Originally from Illinois but moved to Utah to obtain her bachelor’s in Asian studies. Before beginning her graduate studies, she spent two years teaching English in Taiwan, an experience that deepened her experience and appreciation for cultural diversity and the resilience of young people and families. Her time abroad helped her realize how meaningful it is to connect with people, hear their stories, and support them through transition and growth, which ultimately inspired her path toward social work.

Her background includes working as a youth intervention advocate and community programs manager, supporting individuals and families navigating crisis, trauma, and complex life stressors. These roles have strengthened her commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and client-centered care.

Krystyn draws from a strength-based, relational approach. She believes that healing happens through connection, understanding, and empowerment. Whether you’re working through life transitions, trauma, anxiety, grief, or building coping skills and resilience, she aims to meet you where you are and walk alongside you at your pace.

Outside of work and school Krystyn enjoys playing video games, spending time with friends, and reading/spending time with her cats. She believes that nurturing curiosity, creativity, and balance enriches both life and therapeutic work.
