Husna Khan

Therapist Intern

Husna believes therapy should be a supportive and collaborative space where clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted. She works with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, cultural and identity concerns, life transitions, and everyday stressors.

Her approach is person-centered, strengths-based, and culturally responsive. Husna draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and relational approaches to help clients better understand their emotions, recognize unhelpful patterns, strengthen coping skills, and move toward lives that feel more meaningful and authentic. She values each client's unique background and considers how culture, family, relationships, faith, and lived experiences shape the way they understand themselves and the world around them.

As a woman, a Muslim, and someone who has experienced life as part of a minority community, Husna understands the importance of feeling seen, respected, and understood. These experiences inspired her to pursue a career in counseling and continue to shape the empathy, cultural humility, and compassion she brings to each therapeutic relationship. While she enjoys working with individuals from all backgrounds, she is especially passionate about creating an inclusive space where clients of diverse cultures, identities, and faiths feel safe being themselves.

Outside of counseling, Husna enjoys spending time with her husband and two young sons. She loves connecting with family, friends, and finding peace in her faith.
